Glory released the V40 mobile phone can use the Beidou system to support lane-level navigation

(Reporter Wen Ting) on January 22, Glory released V40 mobile phone, equipped with Qianxin location space-time intelligent service, can achieve smart phone lane level navigation. Up to now, the smartphones equipped with space-time smart services include HUAWEI Mate 40 series, HUAWEI P40 series, HUAWEI Mate XS, Honor 30 Pro series and Honor V40, and more new models with this feature will be launched this year.

The BeiDou-3 global navigation satellite system was officially launched on July 31, 2020. As Beidou moves into a new era of global services, its apps have seen explosive growth, with most smartphones including Apple’s iPhone 12 already supporting Beidou. At the same time, a number of mobile phones supporting high-precision applications of Beidou ground-based enhancement were officially launched, which can realize lane-level navigation function.

Taking the newly listed Honor V40 as an example, based on the high-precision positioning capabilities provided by Honor and Qianxun location, AutoNavi maps combined with its own high-precision map data to launch lane-level navigation services. Compared with the traditional road level navigation, AutoNavi lane level navigation can display the real road scene in high definition, showing the number of lanes on the current road, ground markings, entrances and exits, special lanes and so on. At the same time, combined with high-definition signal, it can display the user’s lane position in real time. The service has initially covered Shenzhen’s highways and expressways, and will be rolled out in more cities in the near future.

With the in-depth cooperation between all parties in the industrial chain, such as Honor, Qianxun Location and AutoNavi, a wider range of people can easily access space-time intelligent services through mobile phones, and users can gain new experiences through APPs such as map navigation, travel sharing, local life, sports and health, and AR games. Including smart phones, more than 700 million IoT terminals, such as intelligent driving cars, autonomous flying drones and shared bikes, have been connected to Qianxun location space-time intelligent services.
