On the 15th, the streets of Taiyuan were covered with yellow sand and the local visibility was less than 500 meters. The roofs of passing vehicles were “loaded” with a layer of ash and gradually disappeared in a yellow haze. The passers-by on the street ride electric bikes, wearing masks, squinting their eyes; To cut off contact with the dust, some pedestrians covered their faces with clothes.
The sandstorm is the strongest to hit northern China in a decade. In response, many netizens have been in social platforms to share what they see in the dust weather; There are also netizens posted “dust mask”, as it is necessary to travel weapons; Another netizen joked that “today is a day to eat dirt seriously.”
