Procter & Gamble’s chief executive pointed to the Chinese consumer market

The chairman, president and CEO of Procter & Gamble (P&G) said at the China Development Forum 2021 Economic Summit on Tuesday that Chinese consumers have their own unique characteristics: ① China is the world’s largest skincare market. ② In big cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, the average Chinese woman has 4.7 steps in the skin care process, three times higher than the global average. ③ High-end diapers have accounted for 60% of China’s diaper market share. ④ P&G serves more than 5 billion people in the world, one fifth of which is in China. ⑤ P&G has launched 30 of its 65 brands in China, but about 50% of its products are still unknown to Chinese consumers. He said P&G is optimistic about China’s consumer market and innovation environment, and will continue to expand its presence in China to better serve Chinese consumers. (Reporter Yu Jiaxin)
