No bail! The man suspected of killing 10 people in a mass shooting in the US state of Colorado has made his first court appearance

At the hearing, Arissa’s lawyer reportedly asked for the next hearing in the case to be postponed for two to three months until a “comprehensive assessment” of his mental condition could be made. The judge granted the request and adjourned the court after about six minutes.

Prosecutors said they would also file “additional charges” in the coming weeks, but did not elaborate.

Ten people, including a police officer, were killed in a mass shooting at a supermarket in Boulder, Colorado, Wednesday. Ariza is charged with 10 counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.

Arissa appeared in public for the first time since his arrest, sitting in a wheelchair, wearing a dark blue prison uniform and a face mask for the brief procedural hearing.

Police have not yet determined a motive for the shooting, but relatives have described Arissa as possibly delusional and often said he was being chased.
