Magic3 will be officially released on August 12. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888Plus flagship mobile platform.
The news was confirmed by Zhao Ming, CEO of Glory Terminal, in an online conversation with CristianoAmon, president and CEO of Qualcomm, during Reuters Global CEO Technology Talk on July 20.
Honor Magic3, Qualcomm’s newly released Snapdragon 888Plus flagship mobile platform, is an all-around technology flagship that integrates top-level 5G communication technology and innovative AI applications, Honor said.
Zhao Ming said at a public event in Beijing on May 21 that he has reached a strategic partnership with Qualcomm, signed a full supply agreement, and will release a new product based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform in June. “After Glory became independent, Qualcomm was one of the first chip manufacturers to enter into cooperation and sign supply agreements with Glory.”
Then, in June, the Honor 50 series phone, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G mobile platform, was officially released. Glory said at the time that technological development is changing people’s lives and that it is working closely with Qualcomm to improve the 5G communication experience and speed up the adoption of 5G as challenges such as energy consumption and signal coverage are faced.
It is understood that in the Honor 50 series, Honor will for the first time apply the exclusive Gputurbox and LinkTurbo technology to the Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile platform. Gputurbox can better unlock Qualcomm chip performance, significantly improve the game experience, while well balanced power consumption. LinkTurbo technology supports dual-SIM and dual-WLAN four-network intelligent collaboration, which has better connection under complex network and lower collaborative acceleration delay, and solves the problem of unstable 5G communication.
Honor Magic3 is the second product of Honor’s collaboration with Qualcomm. Amon said he was pleased to see Honor be one of the first manufacturers to release a terminal powered by the Snapdragon 888Plus flagship chip. Zhao Ming said that Honor will continue to deepen the underlying technology, with communication, power consumption, battery life, image and other aspects of the top innovation ability and exclusive optimization ability, fully release Snapdragon 888Plus chip performance.
In addition, Glory Magic3 will showcase futuristic aesthetics and the latest AI photography technologies. Inspired by MagicHour in photography, Magic3 will be available in GoldenHour and BlueHour colours.
In terms of intelligent connectivity, Glory’s vision is to create a new world of wisdom that belongs to everyone, Zhao said in a Reuters Global CEO Technology Talk program. With AI technology, people can more easily manage more smart devices. Glory hopes that everyone can fully enjoy the dividends of technology development, and will use AI technology to help consumers manage 5G smart full scene life.
“In terms of privacy security, the multi-platform sharing of data of current intelligent terminal devices makes life more intelligent and convenient, but also causes the risk of privacy leakage. Consumers have absolute ownership and control over their private data. Glory products adhere to the principle of “minimum authority”, to ensure consumers’ right to know, the minimum use of consumer authority. Glory has built the operating system HTEE(Glory Trusteed Execution Environment) specifically for privacy and data security.”
In terms of sustainable development, Zhao Ming believes that this is a social responsibility that enterprises must undertake. It is also a positive cycle that promotes each other, helping enterprises to face market competition with better technologies and more advanced concepts. In accordance with the highest European environmental standards, Glory restricts product development, design, marketing, production, manufacturing and many other links.
