It is understood that meituan takeout launched four measures to help riders’ career development, including stationmaster training plan, rider transfer plan, rider online learning platform and rider development incentive award.

In terms of rider training, Meituan Takeout has launched an online learning platform for riders that integrates multiple training resources, providing rich training contents, including hundreds of courses for “beginner”, “rules and procedures”, “safety topics” and other posts. As well as eight categories and 110 areas of training courses to help riders prepare for the next job, such as opening a business, management skills and store promotion.

In recent years, Meituan takeout has actively built a comprehensive rider security system and continuously launched measures to improve rider security. Regarding social security and occupational injury protection, Meituan CEO Wang Xing said on the earnings call: “We will strictly follow the guidance of government departments, actively fulfill employment responsibilities, and make greater efforts to protect the rights and interests of workers under different circumstances. At present, we have taken the lead in responding to the national call to actively participate in the pilot of rider occupational injury protection, prevent and resolve the risk of occupational injury, and solve the worries of rider work. It is reported that Meituan has accelerated the landing of occupational injury insurance under the guidance of relevant departments.
