Some cities have also introduced scenarios such as green travel with digital RMB and low-carbon red envelopes.
Going forward, the CENTRAL bank will improve the design and use of the digital yuan in a targeted way based on the pilot program, Yi said. One is to establish a management model suitable for digital RMB by referring to cash and bank account management ideas. Second, continue to improve settlement efficiency, privacy protection, anti-counterfeiting and other functions; Third, promote the interaction between digital RMB and existing electronic payment tools to achieve the unification of security and convenience; Fourth, improve the construction of the digital RMB ecosystem and enhance the inclusiveness and availability of digital RMB.
Data show that since this year, digital RMB pilot progress by leaps and bounds, small red envelope rain, new scenes into the battle. Among them, innovative applications in the field of green and low-carbon are particularly outstanding. Chengdu, Changsha, Beijing and other cities have launched a series of digital RMB bus and subway pilot activities. Qingdao, Shandong province, launched the first carbon inclusive platform using digital RMB as the settlement method, and Meituan bike-sharing pilot attracted more than one million people to use digital RMB for green travel in a month.
