During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the proportion of new green buildings in jiangsu cities and towns reached 98%

The scale of energy-saving buildings continues to be the largest in China. An additional 370 million square meters of renewable energy buildings were used, and the proportion of solar-thermal buildings used in new buildings increased from 30% to 47.1%. A total of 44.09 million square meters of existing buildings were upgraded for energy efficiency. It is estimated that during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, buildings in Jiangsu will save 31.83 million tons of standard coal energy, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 82.75 million tons.

“In the new development stage, people have put forward higher requirements for the built environment and living quality, such as health, comfort and livable. All these are the opportunities and challenges facing the high-quality development of green buildings in Jiangsu.” Liu Dawei said that facing the “14th Five-year Plan”, Jiangsu will further clarify the path of carbon emission reduction in the field of construction, in-depth implementation of the “applicable, economic, green, beautiful” construction policy of the new era, continue to improve building energy-saving standards, improve building quality, reduce carbon dioxide emissions, improve the living environment.

According to the “14th Five-year plan” High-quality Green Building Development Blueprint in Jiangsu, jiangsu will build a number of high-quality green building projects with excellent quality, outstanding performance and distinctive characteristics, covering a total area of 20 million square meters. We will promote green and energy-efficient renovation of 30 million square meters of existing buildings. By 2025, the total area of new ultra-low-energy buildings will reach 5 million square meters, and the proportion of conventional energy in buildings replaced by renewable energy will reach 8%. By 2025, prefabricated buildings will account for 50% of the newly started construction area, and assembly and decoration buildings will account for 30% of the newly started finished housing area.
