Sinopec daily output of natural gas exceeded 100 million cubic meters

China News Service Beijing December 2 (reporter Liu Liang) Demand for natural gas is growing rapidly as winter temperatures continue to drop, Sinopec said Tuesday. Sinopec has accelerated the increase of natural gas storage and production, and the daily gas production has continued to rise. Sinopec has made every effort to ensure the supply of natural gas in the heating season. At present, the daily output of natural gas exceeds 100 million cubic meters, including 100.95 million cubic meters on November 26, the first time to reach 100 million cubic meters, an increase of 7.6% over the peak daily output in 2020.

Sinopec said it produced 30.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas this year, up 12.4 percent year on year and the biggest increase for the same period in nearly four years. Since the beginning of this year, Sinopec has made advance preparations and accelerated the implementation of natural gas development plans and well locations, continuously accelerated the construction and production of natural gas, and laid a solid foundation for increasing production and ensuring supply in winter. By the end of November, 467 new Wells had been put into production, with 6 billion cubic meters of new capacity, and 30.7 billion cubic meters of gas had been produced, up 12.4 percent year on year and the largest increase in the same period in four years.

With multiple measures taken simultaneously, daily production of several gas fields has maintained a rising trend and reached a new level. The daily production of natural gas at Southwest Oil & Gas Reached a new level of 24.5 million cubic meters. Fuling Shale gas field has accelerated the production of new Wells, with daily gas production exceeding 20 million cubic meters. The puguang Gas Field optimized the production of gas Wells, and the daily output of natural gas reached 26.5 million cubic meters, a new high this year. The accumulative gas production of North China Oil & Gas Company from tight sandstone gas fields in north Hubei exceeded 50 billion cubic meters. The oil and gas subsidiaries of Northwest, East China, Northeast China and Shanghai Ocean continue to tap potential to increase production and increase efficiency, and the natural gas output continues to rise.
