“In the future, cities should focus on building interconnected urban functional modules, which should form independent operation capacity, that is, have the ability to provide all the basic living and working needs of local residents within the module, and minimize unnecessary cross-module flow. Huang qifan also gave his own suggestions for the development of urban public transport. He pointed out that the future low-carbon large-scale cities must not rely on private cars as the main mode of transportation, but to establish a more environmentally friendly, low-cost rail public transport system. In Huang Qifan’s view, the unreasonable industrial structure of modern cities leads to high carbon emissions, and structural adjustment is urgently needed.
